*The Smell - Your sense of smell becomes heightened. Your favourite body cream, perfumes, soaps, shampoo become repulsive to you. sometimes, you can't stand some people because you can perceive somebody odour from them that no one else could. It could even be your husband. This smell makes your inside stand on attention and finds their ways to your throat. You would have no choice than to let go of everything you have consumed. You feel better for a while until you are no longer fine. But if nausea becomes uncontrollable, you might need to pay a visit to your doctor.

*Hormonal Spike - Your hormones change when you are pregnant. You might become highly emotional; sometimes weepy, moody, easily irritated and occasionally frustrated.

*Heart Burn - During pregnancy, your body is going through a lot of changes. This is caused by the hormones released during pregnancy. one of them is the valve between your stomach and oesophagus. It becomes relaxed during this period and causes acid to leak into your oesophagus from the stomach. The acid gives you heartburn.

*Carpal Turnel Syndrome - This is one weird, painful and frustrating pregnancy symptom your Mom would never have in mind to mention. I know because I had it and still suffering from it. It happens when there is a build-up fluid in the tissues in your wrists. It makes your grip weaker and harder to move your hand. Your hands and sometimes your fingers become stiff, especially at night.

It usually happens at second or third trimester. You are likely to have it if it runs in your family, you gain a lot of weight during pregnancy or if you've had any problems in your back, neck or shoulders.
